Stephen Viljoen, Game Director for Project CARS at Slightly Mad Studios, said, “René’s running week-in, week-out on many of the tracks and cars that we are simulating for Project CARS, and that gives us the most up-to-date data we could hope to have. His ability to convey his knowledge and experience is already contributing enormously to our project. You don’t get to his level without a really wide understanding of motor-sports, and he is able to give us precise feedback on the cars and tracks that we’re working on.”
René Rast said, “I train on Project CARS every week in the build-up to races. As one of only a handful of people who has ever driven the 2016 Audi R18, I bring not only an intimate knowledge of the cars and tracks, but also a desire to make the simulation as accurate as possible. We have made some real gains since the release of Project CARS last year, and I’m really excited to push on and help to create something special.”
René Rast joins Ben Collins, the former ‘Stig’ from the BBC’s Top Gear franchise, and touring car and simulator specialist Nicolas Hamilton at Slightly Mad Studios, where the trio are hard at work on the physics and handling for the much-anticipated second-edition of the Project CARS franchise.
