Enriched by our Global Reach

Our passion is the fabric that weaves through our games, our franchises, and our technical projects. We’ve been included in the ‘Develop 100’ Top Studios in the World, and the nucleus of our staff have been together for a decade and more. There’s a reason for that. Our commitment to creating the best means a commitment to working with the best, and hiring the best. Our evolution sees us now aggressively seeking to recruit top-rated professionals in various positions. If that’s you, we have a lot to offer.

COMPETITIVE RATES

You tell us what makes you happy, and we’ll do what we can to oblige, and that begins with our salaries and financial packages which are industry-standard, or above. Happy people make great games.

WORK WITH THE BEST

Games are only as good as the personalities making them. We’re known for creating games that smash through the noise. That’s only possible because of the talented individuals who make up Slightly Mad Studios. We know your talent is valuable—we’ve been around long enough to know keeping talented individuals motivated and engaged, with the opportunity to grow within the company, is the not-so-secret secret to a successful, thriving, creative studio.

CHALLENGING

Our physics and simulated technology is class-leading. That means applications that go way beyond making world-class games. We’re involved in state-of-the-art automotive adaptations, as well as many other high-tech applications. Motorsport games are our passion, but we’re about a lot more than that. You will be challenged.

WORK ANYWHERE?

The majority of our talent is based around the world and do not work from our hub in Central London.

How?

For a large team without borders to function is only possible through teamwork. That means communication channels become absolutely vital. Our digital workspace replicates our physical work-space with synched workflow technology. You’ll be communicating with your team—and other staff members—mostly via two methods:

The first is our forum that dates back to the very start of Slightly Mad Studios. The forum is our virtual office. We believe in transparency, and that means every area, from game production to marketing to branding, is visible to everyone on our team. You’re part of the team, and your voice will influence decisions.

The second means of communication is more individual. We use IM tools to act as our live meeting rooms where you can discuss projects, ideas, and day-to-day requests with your whole team, or one-on-one, or simply have a chat with one of your mates. Remote doesn’t mean remote at Slightly Mad Studios.

WORK ANYTIME?

A global team means global hours. From Singapore to LA, from London to New York and all stops between, our global team ensures there’s always someone working somewhere. We do expect that your work hours have some crossover with our London-based hub of operations, because realtime communications are vital. We’re flexible with your work hours, but we do require, for many positions, your availability to coincide with our hub’s daily scheduled hours.

OPEN BUSINESS, OPEN DOORS

How does inviting our players and our community into our decision-making process help us grow?

Our WMD (World of Mass Development ) forum is our portal to the community. We learnt a long time ago that listening to what our players want from us, and delivering on their expectations, is the other not-so-secret secret to success. At the WMD forum, we communicate openly with our players about what they want from us, and what we can deliver to them. Managing expectations and managing compromise is a vital component to our business model.

GLOBAL MEETS LOCAL

Do we actively strive to get our worldwide talent to meet their colleagues in the real-world?

We’re a friendly bunch. You’re welcome to work from our office when you’re in town, or pop in for one of our bowling parties, boat trips down the Thames, launch parties, or other fun events. Our reputation and our fat Rolodex also mean that all sorts of unexpected things come our way!

Depending on what role you’re in, you may also need to attend developer conferences, or go on reference trips where you’ll likely meet up with some of your colleagues. Wherever in the world you’re based, you are as integrated into our team as our London-based creators: we are a global team enriched by our global reach.
