Project CARS Is Thrilled To Be Selected As The Official Racing Game For Red Bull’s Prestigious 5G Esports Tournament
Competitors this year will represent their respective region in the UK—north or south—as they look to score some regional bragging rights via some hotly contested Esports action. The winners will secure an all-expenses paid trip to Japan, the home of the original 5G tournament.
Being selected for Red Bull 5G is a great honor for Project CARS: Joining one of the world’s most prestigious Esports events is testament to the game’s quality as it replaces Gran Turismo in the 5G lineup.
Andy Tudor, Creative Director at Slightly Mad Studios, said, “Having Project CARS in this amazing Esports event is a fantastic moment for us: not only does it solidify the game’s stature as the world’s most advanced racing game, but it also demonstrates the strength of our ever-expanding and market-leading Esports program. I’m really excited, and I hope to see a lot of our best drivers at the event.”
Project CARS Online Qualifiers run on August 29, and September 5, 12, and 19. The Qualifier Final will be held on September 28.
Entry to the tournament is currently open. To join the action, drivers can sign up for the online qualifiers at play.eslgaming.com/uk/redbull-5g
